J. Hayden is a narrative collage artist in New York City. A full-time professional in another field, she has created collages as an extension of her reflective approach to journaling over the last decade. Many of Hayden's collages are placed in the endsheets of her journals-- sacred space, which like life, can't be erased or thrown out, but only further cultivated. The main themes of her collages include the reconciliation of hope and disappointment, the persistence of hope in a life of faith, and forging an unexpected life. The It Is Good show is the first time J. Hayden's collages will be viewed publicly.
